I’m sorry I haven’t been able to put up the next post yet. It’s almost finished but still needs some organization. I should have it up by tonight. You can look at the previous post to see what it will be about. I have been up to my neck in homework, exams, etc. and so I haven’t had time to post. When I get home I will try to put the new post up!

Also, hopefully after the post is put up, the next post after it will be about the military. Jehovah’s Witnesses do not join the military and therefore do not fight in wars, which is something that differentiates them from other religions, but many people don’t know why or have erroneous ideas as to why. Therefore, I hope to make the next post about that.

Thank you all for your patience.

For witnesses:

If any of you who are first and foremost English speakers but are trying to learn Spanish for theocratic purposes (maybe changing to a Spanish speaking congregation, etc) I recommend you follow this blog:

That aside, I received a request on information concerning Satan’s and his demon’s knowledge of the Bible and its prophecies. I am currently working on a post to answer the question thoroughly, so please be patient and keep checking back.

Happy reading!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has been doing well. I have not been able to write any new posts lately and I apologize.  Speaking of new posts though, the Poll on the right of this blog is very important in relation to new posts. So far the majority of votes have chosen “Other”. However, in order to meet the needs of that I am asking that you suggest a topic that you are interested in learning about.  It is clear that those who have voted want to know about another topic not listed as a choice, but because I cannot just guess what topic you want to know about, I need to hear from you what you are interested more in. So, please leave a comment, as this will benefit YOU.

While praying to God in public, Jesus once said “…Father, glorify your name.” Therefore a voice came out of heaven: “I both glorified [it] and will glorify [it] again.'” (John 12:28) In John 17:6, Jesus also says “I have made your name manifest to the men…” and in verse 26, he says to God, “And I have made your name known to them and will make it known…”. As we can see very clearly, it was extremely important to Jesus that everyone know God’s name.

What then is God’s name? Some people believe that God’s name is Jesus Christ. However, as it is evident in John 12:28, Jesus prayed to his father. Is it possible to be one’s own father? Logically, of course not. Just as I cannot be my own mother, and you cannot be your own mother or father, the same is true for Jesus.

Psalm 83:18 reads, “That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.” Isaiah 12:4 says, “Give thanks to Jehovah, YOU people! Call upon his name. Make known among the peoples his dealings. Make mention that his name is put on high.” Yes, God does have a personal name- Jehovah. And what’s more, He wanted for everyone, including you and I, to know what his name is and use it. In fact, the very first human people he created, Adam and Eve, knew his name. How do we know this? Well, according to Genesis 4:1, after giving birth to Cain, Eve said, “I have produced a man with the aid of Jehovah.” This proves that they must have known God’s name.

How important is it that we use God’s name (Jehovah)? The apostle Paul said in Romans 10:13 that “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” (Of course, being “saved” involves more than literally JUST knowing his name, but I will save that for a later blog.) Also, at the beginning of Jesus’s Model Prayer, Jesus put the sanctifying of God’s name before everything else that he asked for, showing us that his father’s name was of utmost importance. In Psalm 9:10 we read, “And those knowing your name will trust in you, For you will certainly not leave those looking for you, O Jehovah.” which shows that Jehovah cares about us.

“‘From the sun’s rising even to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place sacrificial smoke will be made, a presentation will be made to my name, even a clean gift; because my name will be great among the nations,’ Jehovah of armies has said.” (Malachi 1:11)

I hope this satisfies the purpose of this blog. As always, you may request more information/clarification, if needed, and your comments are welcome. Please do take advantage of this and take the few seconds it takes to answer the poll, as this will benefit YOU, the reader. Or if you are interested in a Different topic or have some kind of suggestion, let me know.

Don’t have a Bible? You can read it ONLINE absolutely free by clicking the picture below!

These are some topics I would like to cover in the coming weeks if there are  not sufficient “votes” on the poll (to the right of the blog).  If one of these topics interests you more than another please do let me know and I will give it priority as far as addressing it goes.

Topics to be Addressed soon:

  1. God’s Name- Is his name Jesus? Why is it important to know/use it? Etc.
  2. Jehovah’s Witnesses have often been called a sect. Are they really a sect?
  3. Why do Jehovah’s Witnesses go door to door and what message do they wish to share with everyone? In how many countries are Witnesses found?
  4. Trinity- Are God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit one? Or are they seperate? Etc.
  5. How did Jehovah’s Witnesses get their name?

As said above, if you would like to hear about one of these topics sooner, let me know via Comment. Please note that in order to Comment, you do not have to be a WordPress user. You simply must write a Name, and your e-mail address, to which I will not have access to (as it is simply used to process the comment and not for my use). If you are a WordPress user, you are more than welcome to use the Comment feature with your WordPress username and I can get back to you quicker.

March 29, 2009

Hello Everyone!

This is a new blog I have created specifically dedicated to answer your questions. What kinds of questions you ask? Questions about the beliefs held by Jehovah’s Witnesses. Have you ever been curious as to what they believe, or what a specific belief is based on, or want to know more about it? Are you looking to find answers that will help you with your search to find God and develop a relationship with him? Are you going through a crisis, whether it be economic, emotional, or some other kind? Have you considered taking up a Bible Study with a Jehovah’s Witness but aren’t sure? Would you like to know about a certain topic? Do you know a JW (Jehovah’s Witness) and wish to know more about what they believe in but feel rude to ask questions? Or, do you know someone who is going through a difficult time in their lives and wish you could help them somehow? Through this blog I will answer your questions and/or offer help as best I may, using Bible scriptures and of course explanations, etc.

What many people may not know about the Bible is that it truly can be of much use in our lives- even in this day and age. The Bible can help you find solutions and bring you true comfort.

Note: Although I encourage everyone to consult Watchtower.org and/or the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, this blog is in no way directly connected to, maintained, etc., by either of the two.
This blog is maintained solely by a J.W. That said, I will try to post a blog about once a week or so, depending on how busy I am- I am a full-time college student and have other engagements as well, including activities related to what being a Jehovah’s Witness entails.

This blog is not meant for slandering, negative comments, nor is its purpose debating. This is in no way the place for anything of the sort. Any such comments, etc. will be ignored/deleted. Respect me, JW, and this blog, and you will receive the same respect.

Keep in mind: Just as anyone else, I am not perfect. I may not always have enough time to check my spelling, grammar, and the like. Therefore, I ask that you please understand that when reading this blog. Also, because I belong to a Spanish congregation, it may take me a while to put things into English. Although English IS my first language, I have only been in Spanish congregations, so please bare with me if I use words that seem like they’re not actually English, because I might be thinking of how something is said in Spanish and end up using a Spanish word.

You may do either of the following…

  1. Post a Comment on the most recent of entries
  2. Participate in the Polls I will be putting up if the topics mentioned in it are what you wish to know about.

Any changes of any kind, will be posted here in the blog as a separate post and if possible, on the profile of this blog as well. Also, if you ever need clarification on something I have said, let me know. Don’t be shy 🙂

Well I guess that’s all for now. Happy reading!!!
